Study in Philippines: Eligibility Criteria of MBBS in Philippines

  • Educational Background
    • Candidates must have completed their Class 12 education in Science stream.
    • Also, the minimum marks criteria for General category students is 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) and 45% aggregate marks for Reserved category students.
  • Age Limit
    • Aspirants filling out the application form for MBBS in the Philippines must be at least 17 years old in the year they are applying for admission.
  • Entrance Exam
    • National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET): Candidates are required to qualify for the NEET exam to be eligible for universities in the Philippines for MBBS.
    • National Medical Admission Test (NMAT): Additionally, students are required to appear for the NMAT exam, a medical aptitude test conducted in the Philippines, for admission to the Doctor of Medicine (MD) program 
  • However, few universities require an English Language Proficiency Test with a TOEFL or IELTS scorecard.
