About NEET PG 2024 Exam
The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Postgraduate (NEET-PG) is conducted by the National Board of Examinations (NBE) for admission to different programs such as Doctor of Medicine (MD), Master of Surgery (MS), and PG Diploma programs.

NEET PG 2024 Eligibility Criteria
While filling out the application forms, candidates have the option to apply for the 50% AIQ seats. The following NEET PG eligibility requirements will apply to candidates seeking 50% AIQ seats in 2024.
Students are required to fulfill the eligibility criteria given below if they are applying for the NEET PG 2024 exam.
Eligibility Criteria for General Seats
- No upper age limit is required for candidates applying for NEET PG 2024 exam.
- Candidates must possess a valid MBBS degree from a Medical Council of India (MCI) recognized institution.
- Students must complete their rotatory internship before Aug 15, 2024, with a minimum duration of 12 months. .
- Aspirants appearing for the NEET PG exam must have a provisional or permanent medical registration certificate issued by either the Medical Council of India or a State Medical Council.
- Candidates who have completed their MBBS degree from Jammu & Kashmir are ineligible for All India 50% Quota seats are not eligible for this exam except for those who were specifically nominated by the Government of India to pursue their MBBS education in Jammu & Kashmir under central pool seats. Aspirants are required to submit a duly signed affidavit.
- Students who have completed their MBBS degree from outside India, are required to clear the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE).
Eligibility Criteria for Sponsored Seats
From the 2020 admission session, a certified hospital that satisfies the specified qualifying requirements will be provided with sponsored seats by the National Board of Examination in Medical Sciences (NBEMS).
- A minimum of 3 non-sponsored seats in the applicable zone should be part of the department.
- The hospital must have chosen all non-sponsored seats be included in the counseling for the admission session in 2024.
- The department needs to have completed the authorization process after at least 1 year.
- The department should have additional faculty members approved by the NBEMS to provide accommodation to the sponsored candidate.
Additionally, candidates are required to clear the minimum cut-off criteria as per the conducting authorities.
NEET PG 2024 Application Form
Refer to the steps given below to complete the application form for the NEET PG 2024 exam.
- Visit the official NBE website at nbe.edu.in.
- Then, on the homepage, choose the “NEET-PG” option and then click on the “New Registration” link.
- Fill in the required details, including name, date of birth, gender, nationality, mobile number, email address, and Captcha.
- Next, generate your user ID and password via email and SMS.
- Then, log in using the provided user ID and password.
- Now, proceed with the application form and carefully read the instructions.
- Enter your personal details, qualifications, and test center preferences.
- Upload a recent passport-size photograph along with the scanned copies of your signature and thumb impression (maximum size 80 KB each, in JPG/JPEG format).
- Choose the mode of payment (Net Banking/Card Payment) and make payment of the registration fee.
- Download the NEET PG 2024 application form in PDF format for future reference.

NEET PG 2024 Exam Pattern
Candidates can check the NEET PG 2024 exam pattern given below for those who are appearing for the exam.
- The NEET PG Exam for 2024 will be conducted online CBT mode in English language.
- It will consist of an objective-type paper, having multiple-choice questions (MCQs).
- Candidates will have a total of 3 hours and 30 minutes to complete the exam.
- The paper will be divided into three sections with a total of 200 questions of 800 marks.
- The exam has a negative marking system and one mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer.
- Every subject covered at the MBBS level, including pre-clinical, clinical, and para-clinical subjects, will be covered in the question paper.

The NEET PG 2024 percentile has been lowered by 6 points by the Central Government of India after discussion with the Medical Council of India. It is recommended that State Counseling Committees evaluate decisions regarding admission using the revised percentage.
