About BITSAT 2025 Exam
The Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani, has announced the official notification for BITSAT 2025 on its website. BITSAT, or Birla Institute of Technology & Science Admission Test, serves as the entrance exam for various programs at BITS campuses, including those in Pilani, Goa, Hyderabad, and Dubai.
Recognized as one of India’s premier institutions, BITS offers integrated first-degree programs in disciplines such as Civil Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Chemical Engineering. In addition, candidates can pursue B.Pharm (Honors), M.Sc (Honors), and M.Sc Tech programs.
BITSAT is important for students seeking admission to undergraduate engineering courses (BE) and other related programs.
BITSAT 2025 Eligibility Criteria
- Age Limit: Candidates must have completed their 12th grade in 2023 or 2024. Those who passed earlier than 2022 are not eligible.
- Qualifying Examination:
- Candidates must have completed the 10+2 examination or its equivalent from a recognized Central or State board, with subjects including Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) for engineering programs, or Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) for pharmacy programs.
- Minimum Marks:
- For Tech Programs: An aggregate score of at least 75% in PCM, with a minimum of 60% in each subject.
- For Pharm (Hons): An aggregate score of at least 75% in PCB (and Mathematics if applicable), with a minimum of 60% in each subject.
- Passing Status: Candidates who are currently appearing for their 12th-grade examination in 2025 or those who passed in 2024 are eligible. If a candidate has taken multiple attempts for the 12th grade, only the latest performance will be considered, provided it was for all subjects.
- Number of Attempts: Candidates are allowed a maximum of two attempts for BITSAT in a given academic year.
Specific Requirements for Courses
- For B.Tech Admission: Candidates must have completed their 12th standard with PCM and demonstrated adequate proficiency in English.
- For B.Pharm Admission: Candidates must have completed their 12th standard with PCB. Those with PCM may also apply for the B.Pharm program.
BITSAT 2025 Exam Pattern
BITSAT 2025 will follow a computer-based format, assessing candidates through multiple-choice questions (MCQs). The exam will have a total of 130 questions divided into four sections: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology, and a combined section for English Proficiency and Logical Reasoning.

- Physics: Topics include Units & Measurement, Kinematics, Newton’s Laws of Motion, Rotational Motion, Gravitation, Work and Energy, Heat and Thermodynamics, Waves, and Mechanics of Solids and Fluids.
- Chemistry: Covers States of Matter, Atomic Structure, Chemical Bonding, Equilibrium (Physical and Chemical), s-block and p-block elements, Hydrocarbons, and Principles of Organic Chemistry, among others.
- Mathematics: Includes Algebra, Trigonometry, Two- and Three-dimensional Geometry, Differential Calculus, Probability, Linear Programming, and Ordinary Differential Equations.
- Biology (for Pharmacy applicants): Replaces Mathematics and includes topics from Plant and Animal Physiology, Cell Biology, Genetics, and Ecology.
- English Proficiency: Focuses on Grammar, Vocabulary, Reading Comprehension, Analogies, and Composition.

BITSAT 2025 Exam Application Form
The BITSAT 2025 application process will be conducted online through the official website, bitsadmission.com, with the form expected to be available from the second week of January 2025. Candidates must complete the registration and form submission process before the second week of April 2025.
Steps to Fill the BITSAT 2025 Application Form
- Registration: Candidates need to visit the official website and register by providing a valid email address and mobile number. A unique application number will be generated, which must be saved for future reference.
- Filling the Application Form: Applicants will be required to enter personal, academic, and contact information. They must also select three exam centers based on their preference. For those opting to take the test in Dubai, only the Dubai center will be allocated without the option to select additional centers.
- Uploading Documents: Candidates must upload scanned images of their photograph and signature in JPG/JPEG format. The size of the photograph should be between 50 KB and 100 KB, and the signature image should be between 10 KB and 50 KB.
- Payment of Application Fee
The application fee can be paid online via PayU Money, PayTM, or ICICI Payment Gateway. The fee structure for BITSAT 2025 is expected to follow the same pattern as in previous years:- Male candidates: INR 3400
- Female candidates: INR 2900
- Candidates opting for Dubai center: INR 7000
- Submission and Form Review: After making the payment, candidates should carefully review all details before final submission. Once the form is submitted, they should print a copy of the application form and fee receipt for future use.
